Ben zhang
Ben Zhang is founder of several businesses, most notably Greater Pacific Industries, Inc. headquartered in Issaquah, Washington. Ben brings decades of international trade and business expertise to Greater Pacific and the company continues to be a top 50 supplier in the Advertising Specialty Industry. The company has additional sales offices in Philadelphia, PA and San Diego, CA., and a purchasing office in Shanghai, China.
Originally from Jiangsu China, Ben holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Washington, an MBA from Cornell University and OPM from the Harvard Business School.
Ben earned the University of Washington Foster School of Business “Asian Business Leadership” Award as well as City University’s Global Innovator Award for multi-cultural businesses. He serves as a valued Board member of the WSCRC.
He supports many philanthropical endeavors both with his time and financial resources in communities crossing both sides of the Pacific.
In his spare time he enjoys a casual round of golf, his favorite sport.
Mel cutter
Mel is Greater Pacific’s Human Resource Manager. He has been with Greater Pacific since 1996 and was its first employee. Mel has filled many management positions within Greater Pacific during the company's history. He has extensive experience on both the import and production side of operations to compliment his sales background. Mel is a graduate of the University of Washington TMP Management Program, where he also received his BA in Human Resource Management.
P.T. Caso
P.T. Caso, Director, E-Commerce & Retail Licensing, brings more than 25 years of global sales, product development and manufacturing experience to Greater Pacific Industries. Caso has held leadership roles at numerous companies, including Sales Executive at RedBird Sports; Co-Founder & Vice President of Principle Golf (a division of CYRK/Tonkin); Director of Games & Custom Products for ToySite (a division of BD&A) and Partner & EVP of Business Development at Tovolo. While at ToySite, he co-created the board game, “Hear Me Out!™,” published two additional games and played a key role in the company’s product development and international expansion. Caso entered the housewares industry in 1999, co-founding Tovolo, and built a lifestyle brand with sales and distribution in over 20 countries; he and his partners sold Tovolo to private equity in 2017.
Reed Hunt
Reed Hunt, Greater Pacific’s CFO, has more than twenty years’ of finance and accounting experience in industries including financial services, gaming, real estate, and technology.
Reed has a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Washington State University and has an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and International Business from the University of Washington.
Hanson Chong
Hanson Chong is the V.P. Import Operations of Greater Pacific. He oversees the import department in both US and Asia with responsibilities for sourcing, production, quality control, testing, and compliance. With 25+ years of experience in international trade and manufacturing, 10 years of experience in international sales channel management in tech industry of Fortune 500 company, and wealthy experiences in creating & investing new businesses, Hanson brings abroad industry knowledge and technical expertise to the teams and plays a very important role.
Hanson holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University and an MBA from Murdoch University in Australia. He lives in Issaquah, Washington with wife and two daughters, enjoys fishing and boating in the summer.
